About Us
There was a time when installing an aftermarket radio in a vehicle was a relatively straightforward process. As automotive technologies grow increasingly complex and computerized, it’s more difficult for manufacturers to produce aftermarket mobile electronic accessories.
Here at CAT 1 we are at the forefront and have close connections with manufacturers that are producing interfaces that allow integration of new accessories, from Digital TV to IPods, with factory systems. Although these interfaces can be expensive, many times they are the only way we can add mobile electronics to a late-model vehicle. The biggest change is that, unlike working with vehicles in the past, where radios would be removed and changed for aftermarket radios, the aftermarket alarm systems would be added to vehicles, vehicle manufacturers make their radios and electronics in such a way that it’s either impossible, or extremely difficult, to remove, bypass or add on other types of accessories.
As times have changed so have we, now only undertaking work on prestigious vehicles, our service and knowledge is what keeps us as the forefront of aftermarket solutions. We also have a mobile service covering all of the northwest area, but are willing to travel further on special circumstances for a small fee of course.
